The Tantel armor was a model of armor used mainly prior to the Galactic Civil War. It offered a high degree of protection against energy-based weapons like blasters but lesser protection from kinetic damage. The complete armor set included helmet, breastplate, left and right biceps, left and right bracers, gloves, leggings and boots. The helmet was adorned with gondar tusks. The armor set was available in several colors.
Variants of this armor were the Rogue armor sometimes used by smugglers and the First Responder armor appreciated by medics.
