The gulpers were creatures native to Nim Drovis, a planet located in the Meridian sector of the Outer Rim Territories. They occupied the swamps and marshes of Nim Drovis. In 13 ABY, when the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 arrived on the planet along with the starship captain Bortrek, their landing pad was surrounded by swamps filled with gulpers, marsh-gunnies and green-eyed wadie-platts.
