Kargul

The kargul was a type of worm that lived on Trindello, a cool, forested moon located in the Trindello system of the Outer Rim Territories' Moddell sector. Reaching eighty meters in length, kargul could burrow underground and did not rely on sight. The worms were nocturnal and lived in packs. They were generally shy but could become fierce opponents when agitated.

Kargul laired at the center of the clusters of gigantic trees known as Trindellan oaks, which covered the moon's surface. By the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War that lasted from 25 ABY to 29 ABY, several parties of loggers who were harvesting the valuable Trindellan oak wood had come into conflict with kargul.
