Mamien

Mamiens were large simian creatures native to Yavin 4. They were solitary creatures, shy and skittish, and difficult to approach. They also possessed a curious and casual demeanor. However, they were very protective of their young and might turn violent if their infant was threatened. Mamiens used to walk on two legs but they could occasionally walk on four. The creatures possessed a wooly hide.

Following the Battle of Yavin, the collector Breac Slaus tasked a group of spacers to hunt and kill an unreasonable number of mamiens.
