Moonyos, also spelled moon-yos, were a creature that inhabited a remote island on Pabu. According to the elders of the island, moonyos had inhabited Pabu before humans had settled there.
During or after 18 BBY, a group of moonyos playing outside mayor Shep Hazard's house felt tremors under the the island. This caused distress among them and they dispersed, as the tremors caused a sea surge.
