Myntor

Myntors were quadrupedal reptilian carnivores native to Kothlis. Myntors resided in Arblis Forest and (along with other predators) contributed to the extinction of a native bird species.

They had bulky body covered with bony back plates, stubby clawed legs, long snouts, protruding and eyes on stalks that could poke around the head to see objects. Their plates were capable of deflecting blaster bolts.

Myntors would typically use their claws to dig large holes into the ground and bury themsleves inside to camouflage, while spying around with their protruding eyes; when a prey approached, they seized it with their jaws.
