The orobird was a type of egg-laying bird. Their eggshells and egg yolks could be eaten by humans and the bitterness of the former balanced the sweetness gooeyness of the later. In the first year of the Empire's reign after its formation in 19 BBY, human Senator Mon Mothma ate orobird eggshells while at a droid-operated diner on the 4643rd level of the planet Coruscant during a meal with fellow Senator Lud Marroi.
