A raccoon was a type of creature with a black mask across their eyes. In 3.5 ABY, when the Wookiee Chewbacca disguised himself as the bounty hunter Snoova as part of a plan to infiltrate Black Sun leader Prince Xizor's fortress, his disguise gave him a raccoonlike mark across his eyes. The Colonies planet Mycroft had a large creature that, while similar in appearance to a black bear, had hands like those of a raccoon.
