Rakatan

The Rakatans, also known as the Rakata, were an ancient amphibious humanoid species native to the planet Lehon who ruled over the so-called Infinite Empire. According to legend, they were the first to develop hyperspace travel. Long before the Imperial Era, the Rakatans staged an invasion of the planet Kuat, but were eventually repelled by an uprising. A Kuati Signet embedded with a blue kyber crystal commemorated the uprising. Around 25,000 BBY, Rakatan invaders also sacked the planet Chandrila and stole the twelve Chandi Merle statues that stood in one of their temples around the same year. The Rakatan species was said to have eventually gone extinct as a result of corruption from the dark side of the Force. They shared their name with mystical antiquities known as Rakatan wraith boxes.
