Salini serpent
Canon Linked from 3 articles
Salini serpents were large aquatic reptilian creatures native to the planet Palagosal. They possessed a beaked mouth, long dorsal fins, and short vestigial hind legs, and could grow up to the length of a Galactic Republic Longbeam cruiser. The creatures would leap out of the ocean to swallow birds that roosted atop rocky spires. During the High Republic Era, Zenny Greylark piloted the yacht Redemption near a leaping salini serpent while being pursued by strikeships of the Nihil marauders, with one of the Nihil starships being caught in the creature's jaws.
