Sand snake

Sand snakes were a type of furry snake found on the arid planet Geonosis in the Outer Rim Territories. Their eyes and mouths were situated at the center of their body, which could grow up to three meters, or ten feet, in length. Larger and deadlier than the parasitic phidna, sand snakes were wily enough to keep their natural predator, the dog-like massiff, at bay. Around 9 BBY, the Galactic Empire sterilized Geonosis.
