Skels were a sentient species that dwelled on Hoth. Hunting in packs, they were a primitive people, attacking whatever they could find without warning. They could burrow under the snow, and survive in extremely cold conditions. The Skels resided in caves, within the mountains of Hoth. The species' name originated as a nickname given to them by combatants during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.
