The sludge panther was a dangerous carnivorous predator native to the planet of Talus. The sludge panthers lived in swamps and dank jungles of Talus. They often rolled around in mud to mask its scent when hunting. They lived in small packs, females usually hunted for food while males protected the nests and young from predators. A larger subspecies of the common sludge panther was the greater sludge panther. The sludge panther was distantly related to the Corellian sand panther.
