Unidentified giant bird

A type of giant bird was once found on the moon Olgothon 3 and served as a natural predator to the reptilian thraxsos. However, these large carnivorous birds went extinct, leaving the thraxsos to roam free and eat anything they wanted. Around 20 BBY, Jedi Knights Tualon Yaluna and Iskat Akaris met the Anzellan slicer Ginntho on Olgothon 3, aiming to recruit her to serve the Republic military effort in the Clone Wars against the breakaway Confederacy of Independent Systems. During their meeting, the Jedi and their company of clone troopers were attacked by two thraxsos, which Yaluna and Akaris succeeded in killing. In the aftermath, Ginntho expressed her annoyance at thraxsos in general and briefly explained how the giant birds that had once preyed on them went extinct, leaving the thraxsos without a predator to keep them in check.
