Velusian fursnake

The Velusian fursnake, or simply fursnake, was a reptilian snake native to the volcanic islands of the Core Worlds planet Velusia. The snake had a large triangular head with many teeth and a bony stinger on its tail, measuring two meters long. While its bite was non-venomous, its stinger stored venom and could inject it. The reptile had fur to help maintain its internal temperature that could be black or tan-brown. The fursnake preyed on various avians that called the planet's islands home.

During the Imperial Era, the Human bounty hunter Khlor kept a pet fursnake named Sting that was always curled around his neck and shoulders. The bounty hunter also kept four vials of Velusian fursnake venom on his person.
