Wailer bird

The wailer bird was one of several types of bird found on the Inner Rim planet Birren that the human Kata Akuna watched while living on the world with her family. Akuna later left Birren and lost both of her parents before joining the crew of the luxury yacht Stinger Mantis in 9 BBY. In that year, Greez Dritus, the owner of the Mantis, overheard Akuna listing all of the birds that she could remember from Birren, including the wailer bird. He asked her what she was doing and then for more information on the birds once she explained, as he had never been to Birren; however, she put the discussion off till later.
