Walk worms were a giant species of worm. They had brown exoskeletons with tan undersides, multiple sets of legs and large mandibles. At least eleven walk worms inhabited the burrows below a narrow cliff path to the fortress of the mass murderer Uda-Khalid on a jungle terrestrial body.

Between approximately 58 BBY and 44 BBY, the Jedi Knight Mace Windu traveled across the narrow path on his mission to bring Uda-Khalid to justice. Two of Khalid's guards, a Gotal and a Human, observed Windu from the fortress as he approached the path; they discussed their assumption that the walk worms would deal with the intruder before he became the guards' responsibility. As the walk worms emerged to attack Windu, the Jedi used the Force to leap into the air and land safely on a further part of the path. As Windu continued walking, the segment of the path containing the walk worms burrows collapsed, sending the creatures tumbling down.
