Xi Charrian

The Xi Charrians, also known simply as the Charrians, were the sentient insectoid. They were behind the Haor Chall Engineering Corporation company, which notably designed the Sheathipede-class transport shuttle, the Sheathipede-class Type B shuttle, and the Vulture-class starfighters, which they designed in their own image and built in their cathedral factories on the planet Charros IV. The vulture droid was created on behalf of the Trade Federation, but after the Clone Wars began, these designs were licensed to Baktoid Armor Workshop. Xi Charrians notably believed in short quick answers to their problems, and this carried over into their starfighter designs. They had four legs.
