A space station that orbited the planet Bormus was run by Koensayr Manufacturing. During the Clone Wars, the facility was used to build and test the BTL-B Y-wing starfighter for the Galactic Republic. In 22 BBY, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker asked Supreme Chancellor Palpatine for permission to use the Y-wing starfighters against the Separatists' new weapon, the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence. However, his request was denied because the fighters needed at least another three weeks of testing. Skywalker decided to personally travel to the Bormus testing facility—along with his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, and several of his clone pilots—and obtain the Y-wings himself. After convincing a Gran who worked at the facility to allow him to access the fighters, Skywalker and his pilots were allowed to leave with the Y-wings.
