Ghost Ship of Veragi

The Ghost Ship of Veragi was the name eventually given to a starship that shared it with the Veragi system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Veragi sector situated on the hyperlane known as the Veragi Trade Route. The ship was equipped with a prototype cloaking device that at one point malfunctioned, causing the vessel to periodically become invisible. That fact led to the rise of a legend about the craft that claimed it was a ghost ship, with reports claiming sightings along Outer Rim hyperspace routes for decades prior to approximately 3643 BBY.

Around that year, an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire sent a companion to investigate the Ghost Ship of Veragi. The companion boarded the vessel, encountering no ghosts in the process, and discovered the cloaking device.
