New Republic Cruiser

The New Republic Cruiser was a series of cruisers that were in service to the New Republic. Several such vessels were part of the New Republic Home Fleet. They, along with the rest of the fleet, were destroyed in the Hosnian Cataclysm when the First Order's Starkiller Base, a superweapon built out of the Unknown Regions planet Ilum, fired its phantom energy beam, destroying the star system. At least one ship was physically reminiscent of Mon Calamari Star Cruiser designs and had a bulbous hull, engines, and a large fin on the port and starboard. Another was more circular, but was also characterized by a bulbous hull.
