The Nightdragon man-of-war was a type of Man-of-war warship utilized by the Chiss Ascendancy's Expansionary Defense Fleet. It was equipped with a hyperdrive and engines, as well as electrostatic barriers for countermeasures. Its armaments included spectrum lasers, plasma spheres, and breachers. The ships' hull was constructed of nyix-alloy, and it was equipped with escape pods.
The type was named for the nightdragon, a creature known to the Chiss. Around 19 and 18 BBY, Admiral Ar'alani commanded the Vigilant, a Nightdragon man-of-war and the largest vessel in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet, as a part of Picket Force Six.
