The 700-Penetrator was a military grade laser cannon developed around the time of Emperor Palpatine's return. The smuggler Lo Khan installed a pair of 700-Penetrators on his Xiytiar-class transport Hyperspace Marauder after years of flying his ship without armaments. The weapons were purchased from Hutt gunrunners.
