The assault battle droid, also known as B1 assault droid or assault droid was a variation of the B1-series battle droid used by the Trade Federation and the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Separatist Crisis and the Clone Wars. They often used heavy weapons and were designed for demolition of large fortified objectives. Improved models were known as B1 Elite Assault droids.
