Beskad

A beskad was a traditional Mandalorian sword, forged from beskar. Comprised of a broad, single-edged blade about the length of a grown human's arm that widened toward the tip before tapering to a point, the beskad was a heavy single-handed short sword, designed to crack armor and capable of delivering short, powerful slashes—similar to machete. Two metal guards protected the wielder's hand at the top and base of the hilt. The weapon was based on a design from the ancient Taung. Traditionally, it was accompanied by the kal dagger in the wielder's off hand.
