Bryar rifle

The Bryar rifle was a type of blaster rifle that could fire small and fast shots, although it could also fire a 'charge,' one large and stronger shot. The Bryar rifle was heavy, and less accurate than other types of blaster rifles.

Despite its weight and accuracy it was popular during the waning days of the Galactic Republic, and could be modified to make a much more accurate Bryar pistol. In later times, Bryar rifles became a much sought-after collector's item.

Morgan Katarn owned a Bryar rifle which sawed it down into a Bryar pistol so that it wouldn't appear quite as old-fashioned; he passed it to his son, Kyle Katarn, as a parting gift on the eve of his induction to the Imperial Academy.
