The uniforms worn by the family personnel of the Chiss Ascendancy's Ruling Families consisted of a tight-fitting tunic and high-topped black collars. The family was denoted by uniform color: Mitth family was burgundy and Chaf family was yellow.
A burgundy variant worn by the Chiss warriors of Syndic Mitth'raw'nuruodo's Household Phalanx had an Imperial rank insignia plaque. A variant was worn by the Household Phalanx commanders, which included a burgundy uniform worn by Commander Kres'ten'tarthi of Syndic Mitth'raw'nuruodo's Household Phalanx.
The crew of the Fifth Ruling Family flagship Chaf Exalted—a vessel under the fleet of Aristocra Chaf'orm'bintrano—wore yellow uniforms.
