A circuit breaker, also known as a shutdown switch, was a droid component. It served as a master on/off switch for the droid. The circuit breaker for the 3PO-series of protocol droid was located at the back of its neck. A multiposition circuit breaker was located on the back face of Lowbacca's translator droid M-TD.
