Command gauntlets were a type of white gauntlet used by officers of the Alliance to Restore the Republic while they were stationed on the icy planet Hoth. In a pair of the gauntlets, the left glove was a equipped with a temperature gauge that allowed for control of internal electrical heating systems. While stationed in Echo Base, Generals Carlist Rieekan and Pharl McQuarrie, Major Bren Derlin, Lieutenants Cal Alder and Tigran Jamiro, the Jedi Luke Skywalker, and the smuggler Han Solo all wore command gauntlets.
