Cortex bomb

Cortex bombs were specialized bombs used as kill switches for sentient beings. They used a series of tiny explosive charges wired to an implanted individual's brain, that would detonate when a specific trigger code was seen, heard, or spoken. Cortex bombs didn't deal any damage to the surrounding area, and dealt very little discernible damage to the implanted individual. They cost 1,200 credits on the market and were used as last-resort measures to keep agents from breaking under interrogation.
