The CP-0 steering system was a model of speeder bike steering system. It provided bikes with a larger maximum turn angle over the standard central poise steering system. Upgrading an S-57 Cardinal speeder bike previously equipped with the central poise steering system to the CP-0 steering system cost five hundred credits and required five units of durasteel, and two direct-energy circuits.
During 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess paid for the services of a speeder mechanic to upgrade her speeder bike with the CP-0 steering system and eventually with the A-7 steering system, providing the necessary parts.
