Energy shells were projectiles fire from launch tubes equipped on Armored Assault Tanks. The shells were either armor-piercing antivehicle shells or explosive "bunker busters", and were sheathed in plasma which increased the projectile's speed and penetration. AATs could carry a payload of up to fifty-five shells. To reload, the tank withdrew to a reload station where the lower portion of the AAT was removed and a fresh, fully-loaded replacement was put in its place.
