FC-1 flechette launcher

Canon Legends version → Linked from 12 articles

The FC-1 flechette launcher was a model of flechette launcher produced by Golan Arms that used a plasma-based firing mechanism. The weapon held six anti-personnel canisters containing hundreds of tiny, razor-sharp flechettes made of durasteel. When fired, its projectiles were capable of penetrating up to ten centimeters, even through the armor of an Imperial stormtrooper. The design of the FC-1 inspired the creation of the DF-D1 Duo-Flechette Rifle at the hands of Salus Corporation.

Following the Partisans' mission to Inusagi, during which Saw Gerrera and members of Arane's partisans used FC-1 flechette launchers to assassinate Cor Tophervin as well as kill a number of Inusagians and Imperials alike, there was talk of banning such weapons from civilian use on that planet.
