The Imperial media badge was a badge worn by members of the Imperial Press Corps, a branch of the Galactic Empire's Ministry of Information dedicated to delivering propaganda and misinformation to the general public through news and media outlets. HoloNet News journalist Alton Kastle wore an Imperial media badge when conducting news broadcasts.
The badge was rectangular and light gray, with a central, dark-gray Imperial Press Corps insignia. It was worn with a gray-blue Imperial officer's uniform, positioned on the top left side of the tunic. The badge took the place of the rank insignia plaque worn by members of the Imperial Military.
