The Intellex ship-configuration computer, also known simply as the Intellex, was a computer designed by Industrial Intelligence as an advanced "housekeeping" system for starships. It was small, capable of sorting incredible amounts of information, and featured a system that allowed it to adapt and improve existing computer configurations. This original system held 200 starship configurations and could perform 7,000 MPF operations a second. After the company's merger with Automata Galactica to form Industrial Automaton, data on the Intellex was sealed away in an encrypted memory vault containing Industrial Intelligence's biggest secrets. After Automata Galactica sliced some of the files inside the vault, they found the Intellex and adapted it as the droid brain for the prototype P2-series astromech droid.
