The inter-office communications device was a technological device that made a loud buzzing sound when pressed. In 5 ABY, the Jedi Luke Skywalker met with the protocol droid C-3PO at the Droid Repair Shop on the moon Yavin 4 to prepare the droid for an undercover mission. Skywalker used his inter-office communications device to signal the Droid Modification Team that C-3PO was ready to be disguised.
