Ion casing

An ion casing was a blaster component that confined ionized particles. It could be used along with an ion energy converter to install an ion module in a VM-19 heavy blaster pistol.

During 3 ABY, the contract broker Danka Orsato gave a job to scoundrel Kay Vess which required an ion blaster. Rather that buying a new blaster, Vess stated that she could modify her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol and Orsato sent her to pick up an ion casing from their contact Belo Roovin's pawn shop.
