Model VIII Animal Shock Prod

The Persuader, officially known as the Model VIII Animal Shock Prod, was a shock prod produced by SoroSuub Corporation. A long, narrow rod with a multi-pronged tip, the Persuader had a thick haft on its opposite end that housed its power cell and controls. Equipped with non-slip handgrips on its haft, the prod measured barely over two meters in length and required two hands to wield.

Used to control large, thick-skinned beasts, the Persuader emitted an electrical charge of variable intensity from a light sting to a powerful discharge, able to get a creature's attention, knock an adult Wookiee unconscious, or pacify a rancor. The weapon had to briefly recharge between uses and sold for 1,000 credits.
