Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
A Murchason ring stress analyzer was a type of silver-colored stress analyzer that consisted of a tube shaped body with spring shaped protrusion extending from the top. The slave Anakin Skywalker kept a Murchason ring stress analyzer in his home in the city of Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine, on a ledge next to the workbench in his bedroom.
In 32 BBY, Skywalker was using the workbench to build the protocol droid C-3PO, whose head rested on the ledge next to the stress analyzer as Skywalker brought Queen Padmé Amidala and the astromech droid R2-D2 in to his room to show off the droid.
