This sword was the personal sword of the Sith alchemist Naga Sadow, who created the sword using Sith alchemy and wielded it during his self-imposed exile on Yavin 4. Following Sadow's death c.4400 BBY, the sword was lost, likely on Yavin 4, and remained lost by the time of the Third Galactic War, when the Imperial archaeologist Talos Drellik used the sword as an example of one of many artefacts associated with Sadow that had been lost.
