Particle accelerator

Particle accelerators were devices used in energy based weapons such as blasters. Proton rifles used baradium-fed particle accelerators to create densely charged particle beams.

In 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess used various particle accelerators to upgrade her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol's plasma module. These included a BT-P7 ion accelerator, a prototype gas acceleration converter and prototype particle stability converter.
