Canon Legends version → Linked from 5 articles
Plasma drills were a type of superheated drill originally developed for asteroid mining. They were capable of digging through almost any material, given enough time. Plasma drills could also be mounted onto vehicles to tunnel under enemy fortifications and excavate hidden facilities. They typically cost 4,000 credits on the market and notable models included the Pretormin Environmental Corporation Mk II Thermal Auger and the Ghelrar Consortium "Worldsplitter" Plasma Drill.
