The RD-4 grenade launcher, also known as the radiation launcher, was a type of grenade launcher which fired radiation grenades that was manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc.. The launcher could configure the fuse of the grenades, so that they either exploded on impact or could be bounced off surfaces to detonate after a few seconds. Early in the Clone Wars, the launcher was used by Confederacy of Independent Systems OOM pilot battle droids on various battlefields, such as the First Battle of Kamino and Battle of Rhen Var. Late in the war, it was also adopted by the IG-100 MagnaGuards.
