The scatter gun was a powerful slugthrower weapon that was used by the Galactic Republic, Confederacy of Independent Systems, Alliance to Restore the Republic, Galactic Empire, and the New Republic. It was lethal when fired from close range, and it could penetrate through deflector shields. The Trandoshan Hunter Charr used a scatter gun known as the Cunning Scatter Gun as his primary weapon during the Hunters of the Outer Rim competition within the Grand Arena on the planet Vespaara.
