Sling

A sling was a primitive ranged weapon used to hurl stones or other object at a target.

Gungans used slings to launch boomas that were too large to fit into the handheld cesta and atlatl, yet too small for catapults. They were used by the Gungan Grand Army during the Battle of the Great Grass Plains in 32 BBY.

Slings were also used by the Ewoks on the forest moon of Endor to hurl stones. In 4 ABY, Ewoks warriors known as Slingers used slings to battle the forces of the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Endor. The young Ewok named Wicket proved to be less skilled in their use and ended up swinging the stone into his own head, knocking himself to the ground.
