Woopas was a Force-sensitive Gigoran child who was protected by the rebel Princess Crane. He was the sole survivor of a small village on the snowy planet of Joetz that was attacked and massacred by Imperial snowtroopers. He was rescued by Crane and her astromech droid R9-TR2 ("Tor-Tu"). As they fled the ruined village, Woopas helped his new friends defeat the Imperial occupiers using his skill with a sling and his ability to use the Force.
