Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The StarMark III Hyperdrive was a hyperdrive unit for spaceships manufactured by E'than Hypersystems. It was capable of point four past lightspeed and was similar in appearance to the T-14, a different brand of hyperdrive generator commonly found on the starships made by Nubia Star Drives, Incorporated. At some point before the Boonta Eve Classic podrace in 32 BBY, it could be purchased on the remote planet of Tatooine. It cost 2,500 wupiupi, which was worth 1,562 credits at the time.

At that time, an extra–galactic spacer who had crashed on Tatooine bought a StarMark III Hyperdrive from a junk dealer named Watto, so they could repair their damaged starship and leave the planet.
