A stellaract unit was a device that used magnetic fields to confine plasma within fusion engines. By 3 ABY, the Jawa merchant Tak'Tak Tandishek had a stellaract unit for trade while in the Scavenger's Draw section of Mos Eisley on the desert planet Tatooine.
In 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess traded Tandishek six units of bantha wool and nine direct-energy circuits in exchange for a stellaract unit. She later traded it to another Jawa named Entip for a Daivak gunslinger shirt.
