Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

Suspensas were Naboo fashion accessories that consisted of a dangling ornament, such as gold-colored orichalc chains, strings of white veda pearls and glass filaments, or black beads. When the human female Padmé Amidala was the Queen of Naboo, she wore them with multiple royal garments. Her Shiraya fan headdress had clusters of glass filaments in a "veil of tears" that suggested her profound sadness. Many of her suspensa ornaments came from the treasure rooms in Theed Royal Palace.

At the end of the Clone Wars, when Amidala was the Senator of her homeworld, she wore a pair of heirloom suspensas on her earlobes when she told her husband, Anakin Skywalker, that she was pregnant.
