The TIE bomber combat medallion was an Imperial starfighter pilot medal awarded for completing basic training with TIE/sa bombers. It had an engraving of a TIE/sa bomber.
There were three versions of the medal, which differed only in the metal used to create it: bronze, silver, and gold. The bronze version was awarded to pilots who completed training relating to the TIE/sa's armament of proton torpedoes as well as space bombs. The silver version was awarded to pilots who completed training relating to the above as well as a reenactment of an operation dealing with taking out a Rebel outpost with torpedoes. The gold version was presented to pilots who completed the above training operations as well as training regarding the TIE/sa's onboard missile complement.
